Although still a young stallion, Western Duck has already begun to sire progeny. In late 2020, his first foals, rising two-year-old fillies, were sent off to be broken in.

Like their sire, these foals are impressive and robust, showcasing the trainable nature they inherit from him. Thomas asserts that Western Duck possesses the best mindset of any horse he has ever worked with.

“Whatever you ask him to do, he just complies. He never refuses. He’s a joy to have around and genuinely enjoys being with you. He’s always thinking and has an incredible ability to rate a cow. He’s quick, powerful, and capable of flattening out beautifully when working on a cow. His solid training allows him to relax and regroup effortlessly.”

The future looks incredibly promising for Western Duck, as he captures attention wherever he goes. “If people don’t know him already, they certainly come over to ask about him,” Thomas remarks.
